Our challenge donors inspire us all!

Each year challenge gifts are given by members of our UC Davis giving community who are so passionate about what they support, that they want to encourage others to support it as well. Since our first year, UC Davis Give Day has been fueled by these gifts and the incredible donors who give them. They are a wonderful reflection of who we are as a community!

Many of our donors want their challenge gift to honor a former faculty member, doctor, patient, loved one, or a beloved pet who was important to them and made a tremendous impact on their lives. Others support classes, health programs, veterinary clinics, athletic teams or UC Davis student support programs that shaped their experience and made them who they are today.

Because our challenge gifts are about inspiration, you can always give to support them, even if the challenge has already been met!

Similar to matching gifts, challenge gifts are an incentive that inspires people to give. When a challenge reaches a specified number of donors on Give Day, the challenge donor's gift is activated, making the new donors' gift go even further.

We are grateful to have such wonderful support from our giving community each Give Day! Go Ags!
