Unlocking the mysteries of the mind and brain is both a pivotal scientific endeavor and a pressing human challenge. For more than 30 years, the Center for Neuroscience has been at the frontier of this pursuit. Our interdisciplinary teams of scientists drive innovation, investigating every aspect of the nervous system from genes to behavior and through all stages of life. We work tirelessly to reveal the remarkable complexity of the brain, advance new treatments for neurological and psychiatric disorders, and transform next generation technologies to improve lives. With mental illness affecting one in five Americans and millions grappling with neurological conditions like Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and addiction, the time to bolster the UC Davis Center for Neuroscience is now.
