You probably know that the Mondavi Center brings world class performing artists to the UC Davis campus -- amazing legendary as well as emerging talents of music, dance, theater, and more.
You may not know about our community programs which introduce the very young to the performing arts, support the development of emerging artists and provide opportunities to the general public to experience live performance at no cost. Each season, we deepen our reach throughout the region to educate, excite and serve our community through valuable performances and programs. Our ongoing efforts include:
- classroom visits in local schools by renowned artists
- student matinees at the Mondavi Center
- masterclasses for UC Davis students
- a national Young Artists Competition
- bi-annual music festivals (in collaboration with the UC Davis Department of Music)
- performances for children with special needs
- dance classes for adults with Parkinson’s Disease
- free performances of some of the nation’s most celebrated young artists
