UC Davis Women's Basketball is a program of achievers. In the classroom, we have consistently achieved a team GPA above 3.0. Our players have a wide range of academic interests with majors in the biological sciences, college of engineering, as well as the arts and humanities.
Our student-athletes also participate in various organizations and clubs on campus, building their leadership skills and finding ways to connect with other students. We continue to have a major presence in the Davis community, visiting with elementary school students and partnering with Team Davis, a local Special Olympics Chapter.
To make Give Day even sweeter, we've challenged Women’s Water Polo, Football, Men’s Soccer, and Men’s Basketball to a competition to see who can get the most people to support them on this Give Day. The team with the most donors wins a $1,000 bonus for their annual budget!
On the basketball court, we've had consistent success not only in the Big West Conference but competing against some of the top teams on the west coast. This past season, we took down #18 ranked Oregon on their home court and also secured a win against mid-major power Gonzaga.
We want to continue to raise the bar for our program and are asking for your help! A gift this year to women's basketball on Give Day will be used to support a foreign tour in the next couple of years. A trip like this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our student-athletes and greatly helps with recruiting as well.
