The College of Engineering prepares students to graduate with more than a foundation of transferable job skills; they take with them a sense of responsibility and deep curiosity that leads to the development of sustainable solutions.
Give Day is your opportunity to invest in the academic, leadership, mentorship and extracurricular experiences that prepare our graduates to engineer a better world.
This year please support the department you attended or one of our amazing student programs. Both are pivotal to preparing our students for success after graduation.
This year, we feature three student programs that prepare Aggie Engineers to launch their entrepreneurial ventures, code for social good, and find success within and beyond the campus boundaries.
Additionally, our eight academic departments are raising funds for various areas of impact while sharing the common goal of teaching students to think critically and creatively and collaborate in a diverse society. Please take a moment to support the department you attended!
Support from our alumni, employees, students and friends is what makes Aggie Engineers Greater Than Ever.
Collegiate Engineering Teams Will Compete to Advance Clean Transportation Technology and Accelerate the Equitable Transition to Electric Vehicles
The U.S. Department of Energy, in coordination with General Motors (GM) and MathWorks, today announced the launch of the EcoCAR Electric Vehicle (EV) Challenge, a collegiate research and experimental learning competition that challenges hundreds of students to engineer novel technologies for battery electric vehicles through a combined $6 million investment.
GM will provide student teams across 15 academic institutions — including five Minority Serving Institutions — with a Cadillac LYRIQ, the brand’s first all-electric vehicle, to develop and demonstrate technology that utilizes automation and vehicle-to-everything connectivity. Along with empowering the next generation of clean energy innovators, the EcoCAR Challenge will support President Biden’s goals to electrify the American automobile sector to achieve greater affordability, reliability and security for all. The competition will take 4 years and will being in Fall 2022.
