The Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing
When COVID-19 hit, it not only disrupted our lives, but it threatened to derail students working to become nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants from graduating on time. We are grateful to each Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing donor whose generosity allowed us to pivot and keep our students on track to complete their degrees.
Many Sacramento-area health systems that we rely on for clinical training stopped taking students in the midst of the pandemic. We had to make adjustments and we had to make them quickly.
Thanks to our collaboration with the UC Davis School of Medicine, we teamed up with our colleagues to educate our students with preceptors throughout UC Davis Health. The result was our students learned from the best and stayed on track to graduate.
COVID-19 hit us with the unexpected; philanthropy, teamwork, and collaboration saved the day and allowed our students to finish school and get out into the workforce where they are desperately needed!
Contributions to the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing Annual Fund gives us the flexibility we need — pandemic or whatever may come — and your support sets our students up for success in any challenge.
