UC DAVIS GIVE DAY 2020

At UC Davis, we are educating the next generation of leaders by providing students like yours with transformative experiences and opportunities that shape their future—and ours. The Parents Fund supports students through signature programs that offer hands-on learning and research opportunities with faculty—and also open doors to a more diverse student body at UC Davis.

Unrestricted funding is often incredibly valuable when university leadership needs to be nimble and and make quick decisions that benefit our students. 

 

Recently, Parent Fund support enabled Chancellor May to provide use of 600 laptops to students who otherwise could not have participated when classes moved online during the Coronavirus emergency. 

 

By giving early today, you help UC Davis continue to address urgent needs as they arise.

Key among them is the Chancellor’s Achievement Awards,  a program that has gifted more than 500 scholarships to high performing California students who are often the first in their families to attend college. These awards change lives by opening higher education to students who otherwise might not have the opportunity. 

And all students benefit greatly from the Chancellor’s Fellows program, now celebrating its 20th year. Outstanding early career faculty who are named Chancellor’s Fellows receive unrestricted funding in the form of a cash award for their research, teaching service activities or creative work. Faculty projects emanating from this program allow students to participate in work that is often groundbreaking or exploratory in nature.

The Parents Fund, supported by the UC Davis Chancellor’s Club—and by donors like you—helps UC Davis make the world a better place. Your gift allows the Chancellor to fund the university’s greatest needs, including programs that enhance student learning and open higher education to a more diverse student body.
