Students enter the School of Nursing from diverse backgrounds and at different stages of life, each with a unique personal story and education history. Many are helped by traditional academic supports that teach learning strategies or specific skills like test preparation. However, the barriers to a student’s academic success are not always academic, particularly at the professional and graduate level.
Life is full of challenges that often are out of our control. The Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing Student Support Endowment provides financial support to students in cases of adversity, such as major illness or significant personal losses due to natural disasters, that may affect our students’ abilities to succeed in pursing their degrees.
This student support fund was created by the M.S. – Leadership Class of 2018 as their class gift upon graduation. In addition, generous donations from the Ph.D. Class of 2019 and the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing leadership team enabled the fund to be endowed.
No matter what challenge a student might be faced with, your generous donation will help ensure that ALL Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing students have the support they need to successfully fulfill their dream of graduation.
