UC Davis Graduate Studies supports graduate students and postdoctoral scholars in over one-hundred disciplines, ranging from cultural studies to veterinary medicine. UC Davis master’s and doctoral graduates become leaders in their fields – researchers, teachers, politicians, mentors and entrepreneurs. Graduates go on to guide, define and impact change to address challenges within our global community.
This year on Give Day, we’ve chosen several areas your gift can support:
Guardian Professions Program
The Guardian Professions Program helps former foster youth gain admission to advanced degree programs. Assistance includes advice and coaching on programs and career direction, preparation-travel and tests, and continued mentoring throughout their graduate program. Thanks to the support of donors, 85% of Guardian Professions Program scholars who apply to graduate school are accepted into a graduate program.
McNair Scholars Program
The McNair Scholars Program is designed to prepare undergraduate students for doctoral studies through involvement in research and other scholarly activities. McNair participants are either first-generation college students with financial need or members of a group that is traditionally underrepresented in graduate education and have demonstrated strong academic potential. The goal of the McNair Scholars Program is to increase graduate degree awards for students from underrepresented segments of society. We invite you to help us invest in our Scholars' accomplishments and assist them in their journey toward receiving a Ph.D.
Graduate Student Fellowship Fund
Gifts to the Graduate Studies Fellowship Fund help support talented and ambitious students across over one-hundred distinct graduate programs, allowing UC Davis to help us to attract, retain, and recognize the next generation of researchers, teachers, politicians, artists, industry leaders, mentors and entrepreneurs.
Together, let's make Give Day count!
